More Than Two Launch Party, A Huge Success!

“KEEP COMING BACK, GOD IS HERE WITH US!” This is the slogan everyone wholeheartedly shouted last Sunday, when the much-awaited >2: More Than Two was launched at the Morga Worship Hall in which the IEMELIF Kabanatang Ilaw Youth participated in.

WORSHIP! The first W in line with the flow of the fellowship. It was lead by the Katedral ICHTUS prayer & praise band.  They energized everyone through upbeat worship songs and prayers.  What a way to start our program!

WORK IT! A very fun group dynamic, with the use of regular playing cards, to kick off the fellowship and break the ice amongst everyone!  Everybody shared his/her experience during the week, tell their most favorite tambayan and some expectations for >2: More Than Two. It was truly a fun and wacky activity!  At the end of the sharing portion within each group, the group should fit themselves inside a balikbayan box!  We realized that great things are possible if we are More Than Two.

WORD UP! A short message or toast lead by Rev. Ding Cristobal about >2: More Than Two, the history and foundation of our fellowship name and how this is relevant to the youth of IEMELIF, especially the KI. Though it was a short message, it was very, very inspirational for us.  Later on, it left everyone in the hall blessed.

WITNESS! Cheers!–the remark everyone shouts as each attendee tells the whole party about his/her expectations, hopes, prayers, opinions, statements, suggestions, testimonies and experiences in and out of >2: More Than Two. Don’t worry, we never got drunk drinking from our cups (bottoms up!) because it was just juice!  Free-flowing orange and calamansi juice!

Most importantly, we also launched the >P2 for >2.  A fund raising activity where each KI member is expected to save more than Php 2.00 everyday and contribute at least Php 93.00 a month to the funds of the KI!  These funds may be and will be used for sustaining >2: More Than Two, for contributing to the funds of the district, for donating a certain amount to the church in celebration of its centennial year next year and for the other expenses KI will encounter such as the National Youth Camp Fee for each KI member, etc.  By having this kind of fund raising activity, everyone has a contribution in reaching our goal before the year ends: to raise Php 30,000 for Kabanatang Ilaw of Katedral! We all know that our God is a generous God and He will surely provide for us.

The fellowship has a lot more to offer.  After the launching of >P2 for >2, we had our kainan portion and, simultaneously, the open mic.  This is to provide the attendees a place for them to showcase their talents, jam with other youth and practically do anything on stage!

What are we really saying? “KEEP COMING BACK, GOD IS HERE WITH US!”  Yes, our battlecry.  He is the reason why there is a fellowship such as this, why we participated, and why we will come back.  Just keep it in mind because we’re going to have it again on June 29, 2008, Sunday at 4:00 in the afternoon at the Morga Worship Hall! Everybody’s invited to attend! Don’t hesitate to come and visit!  It’s surely a rewarding experience! May God bless us all!
