Bricks, Stones and Pipes: 40? Not Bad!

Everybody was amazed and overjoyed (Deac. Francia even got misty-eyed) when our fellowship last June 29 reached 40 attendees.  All the newcomers were a blessing from God to us here in Katedral.

How do you get a PVC pipe on the floor by just touching it with just your index finger in a group of 40? You can’t! Hahahaha! The only solution: divide the group into 2.  With the proper strategy, Kuya Genesis’ Group was able to get the pipe on the floor with three tries.  We are one in building up our church, everyone works together, no one does anything by himself and we feel the sense of belonging = SAMA-SAMA TAYO! That’s what we learned in last week’s Work It!

Our theme for the last >2: More Than Two, Bricks, Stones and Pipes, showed us the true meaning of Church through our beloved pastor, Ptr. Jonah Caballes.  “You and I. We are the true meaning of Church.”, he said.  We are the bricks that form the physical church, the Apostles as the foundation and Jesus Christ as our cornerstone.

The newcomers and members of the KI participated in sharing ways on how to contribute in the church and how to belong by sticking a brick on our backdrop to fill the whole wall (well, white board) up.  Again, from the Kabanatang Ilaw, we thank the newcomers (and everyone else) for coming! We hope to see you again on July 13 for Lean On Me. That way, you won’t be “newcomers” anymore! :)

Now, we have more reasons to keep coming back:
1) Because God is here with us!
2) Because we belong!

As Ptr. Ding said in the PKKI Youth Forums, “It was God from beginning to end and everything else in between. We were mere instruments.”

See you all on the next episode of >2: More Than Two, Lean On Me! On July 13, 4pm at the Morga Worship Hall, Katedral! With Deac. Francia Garcia as our speaker on relationships! Come, learn, eat, have fun and be blessed! KEEP COMING BACK, GOD IS HERE WITH US!
