Know that I am God…

Amazing isn’t it? God embraced the place with serene and solemnity with those empty hearts waiting for Him to be filled with His glory. “Be still, and know that I am God” Psalm 46:10. Now take that!

Are you troubled? Are you tired? Is your life fueled by those deadlines, research papers, exams, financial reports, salaries you gain, fame, or discontentment? Well, I am not selling a make-your-life-better product nor promoting a super proxy. I kid! :) But think about it. Does your life runs so fast that even God cannot chase you down for Him to ask you a little talk? What is the purpose of your hard work? Your studies? Your promotions at workplace? Sometimes we overdo things and forget the real purpose on why are we doing it. (I’m not telling you to threw it all and go some place far from civilization and live a hermit life.) Take time to realize(No Colbie Caillat for now). Stop for a while, be still, as the scriptures says. Talk to yourself, talk to God. Maybe it is you that is much occupied by the earthly things. Let loose all of your worries, weaken your heart. Because God doesn’t want unnecessary things in his room, our heart.

Then there’s ate Noemi who delivered the message whole heartedly. And the ever buckling yet entertaining program host, kuya Genesis. The place were flooded with joy on how God is so willing to talk to us. We just need ourselves be empty and willing. Flooded! Literally by ate Noem’s overflowing emotions that we need the assistance of some flood control unit! Kidding! :) Each souls found God touching their lives, rejuvenating them, replenishing what is lost, nourished what is lacking, and in the end find themselves crying and praising and thanking God. God has used each and everyone. A great contribution would be the committee in charge for the meditative ambience and the people who would always come back to bond with our Daddy Jesus with us in the same place with the same purpose. To Glorify Him!

KEEP COMING BACK, GOD IS HERE WITH US!

PRAY without ceasing. – 1 Thessalonians 5:17. Praying. Prayers and a lot more after the episode of He an’ Me last August 27 that tackled the spiritual discipline of prayer. It was the introduction to a new >2 series covering the Spiritual Disciplines. The program was lead by our very own Kim Chi (Aie Cristobal) and Paolo Ascal (CJ Bautista).

Almost everybody had a hangover of singing and dancing in Passion :: Manila, so the Team >2 had a line-up of Chris Tomlin songs like Sing, Sing, Sing which turned out as everybody’s LSS. The crowd came alive and nobody really cared if they were singing on or off key as long as they were singing! (Plus! The room got really ambient with the game show like arrangement). This ecstatic pack continued on as they had a dose of their Work It. They had to work out with the giant keypads, cellphones as buzzers, stock knowledge for the questions and reliable feet for texting in and sending the answers. Talk about teamwork and strategy! The two teams, Team 1 (with Kuya EA as leader) and Team 2 (with Kuya Arby as leader) needed to race to 5 points to win. Finally, Kuya Arby’s team brought home the bacon of the P500 prize(which Ka Rene had given for the winning team).  The group decided to give their prize to the pot of >P2 for >2.

The resource speaker, Ate Ruthie Cristobal discussed prayer as a spiritual discipline. She also included some pointers on prayer. She had open questions for everybody and started her talk with a music video of Rebecca St. James’ song “Pray”. Segueing to Worthwhile, she asked everyone to contribute prayer points and concluded with the group forming a prayer circle with the microphone being passed around for everybody to utter a short prayer on a prayer point of their choice.

As a fruit of this episode, it was suggested that Prayer Warriors continue to pray for the prayer points. The Prayer Warriors are to come 15 minutes before the next >2 gatherings to pray. The young people who attended the fellowship went home with the resolve to practice the apostle Paul’s charge to pray without ceasing.
