“And God Blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the every living thing that moveth upon the earth.”

(Genesis 1:28)

God gave us the earth and we are overcoming it, consuming it, as it is to us. “We lay workers and theologians have a struggle in pointing to people that living in Christ also concerns the governance of every human being in the responsible caring of the environment and the whole planet that we are living in.

It was a hot and sizzling summer night that grows even hotter and deeper towards the talk while Tito Boy waits his turn to talk is up but for first we praised and prayed to God before anything else. Icthus band began the Worship with “Awesome in this Place” and to raise the intensity of the heat, the band continued with “Holy is the Lord” and “This is how we Overcome”.

I was glad that we had some visitors from IEMELIF Sangandaan that we invited the Sunday before the third episode (which is Government and Politics). In continuing for the ice breaker we played Politics-monopoly and I was the so called “duck” of my team. But sadly I was immediately out of the game because I was placed in the “monastery”. However, I enjoyed the whole game and the Work It is actually related to the Worthwhile later on for in the part of game in the have some cards with questions that is reserved to be answered in the Worthwhile.

Moving on in the Word up, Ptr. Ding introduced a big time speaker that has been our speaker in a previous episode last year. Tito Boy Bautista, a professor in theology, gave us the big time talk about the government and politics because election is near. Tito boy introduced the talk by beginning with justifying love and justice in the world that we are living in today.

Tito Boy continues with the triangle of politics, economics and ideology, he expounds it by talking about the conservation for the environment and politics in the industry today in government and leaders that gives the ideology that is being done we as experiencing the effects of the politics in the economy and how we should we react in the ideology of the leaders inwards and outwards the politics.

The second triangle was the Kingdom of God, Authority, and the Ultimate Rule. Tito Boy explained that the governance of God must be like the governance of humanity today but its not. We should obey God by authority and the ultimate rule, which is to love one another like God loved us and as we love ourselves. Tito Boy concluded that we must have environmental consciousness because of the climate change in our planet today.

During the worthwhile every group answered the questions in the cards that they got from the Work it and every group had a representative to answer one question and Tito Boy will follow up an additional answer pertaining to the question of the group. Tito Boy also answered some questions from the audience like a panel with Ptr. Ding.

We ended the worthwhile with a prayer and a long-missed song, “Hey friend you have been sitting there all alone, why not come and join us in singing this song… MORE THAN TWO! Its what’s good for you! MORE THAN TWO! We are here for you! … Remember!

KEEP COMING BACK GOD IS HERE WITH US!

I always long to shout that after a fun and spirit-lifting activity.
After the singing and dancing, there is no better than a nice cold drink and a delicious bibingka with sweet coco jams over it. Yummy!
